AVHRR Land Pathfinder Ancillary Data

 

The data presents ancillary location and elevation data in a digital form for use in digital data processing of 10-day composite land data.

The EOSDIS Data Sampler #3 provides as a sample dataset a granule of the PATHFINDER_AVHRR_LAND_ANCILLARY_DATA.HDF that has: The sample was downloaded from an FTP site of the GSFC Earth Sciences DAAC (GES DAAC).

This dataset is part of the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer Pathfinder Land Products. It consists of 8.00 km square latitude, longitude, elevation, and land/sea values mapped in the Goodes Homolosine Projection. No geographical subsetting was performed. The grid is 2048 rows by 4096 columns.
